The PRESEC Cybersecurity Club, just like all other clubs in the Presbyterian Boys Secondary School - Legon, meet on Thursday, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. The location of our meeting is at the " Science Resource Center" in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Lab.

All students undergo thorough training in the essential concepts they are required to master. Following this preparation, a challenging examination, often affectionately referred to as the 'Cybersecurity Final Selection' by some students, is administered. The three highest-scoring students from this examination make the cut, and one is named "Team leader", to proudly represent both the school and the esteemed Cybersecurity Club.

The PRESEC Cybersecurity Club website, a testament to our student's initiative and technical prowess, was initially conceived as a personal project by Kwame Appiah Kumi-Appiah on the 30th of December 2023. Witnessing the positive impact it had on our community and online presence as further developments were made, Kwame selflessly chose to present the website as a gift to the club. He along with other members of the club worked as a team to improve the website. His dedication and generosity have significantly contributed to the club's growth and effectiveness in reaching a wider audience.

While the PRESEC Cybersecurity Club is all about educating members on cybersecurity and online safety, we do teach ethical hacking and programming for cybersecurity — just not in super deep detail. Our main focus is on practical, everyday security measures that help students stay safe online. That said, some of us go beyond the basics and flex real hacking and programming skills we’ve picked up from personal learning on platforms like Udemy and Coursera. These skills aren’t the core of what the club teaches, but they're definitely encouraged and can level you up fast. In the 2023 Ghana National Cybersecurity Quiz, our legendary trio, Joshua Sokpey and other two members reached the semi-finals, narrowly missing victory. They secured an impressive second place in the semi-finals, earning a total of 45 points. However, Wesley Girls High School secured the top spot with 46 points, advancing to the finals of the Ghana National Cybersecurity Quiz. The winner of the 2023 Ghana National Cybersecurity Quiz is Ola Senior High School.
